Intercessory Prayer
Prayer refers to the multifaceted communication of believers with the Lord Jesus Christ. When we pray effectively, it provides a link to receiving God’s blessings and power, and the fulfillment of His promises.
Devout works in a needy world cannot replace prayer. When we learn to pray effectively, prayer meets our inner needs. One who prays will receive freedom from fear, strength for the soul, guidance, satisfaction, wisdom, understanding, deliverance from harm, fullness of joy and peace.
The most meaningful prayer comes from the heart that trusts in God and who has acted on the spoken words of Jesus and the teachings of the Bible. God speaks to us through His Word in the Bible, and we in turn speak to God in trustful, believing prayer.
The Bible states “If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and will heal their land”. (II Chronicles 7:14)
Exodus Deliverance Temple believes that prayer can bring revival, healing, tear down strongholds and change a nation. As such, prayer involves several important aspects: faith, worship, confession, adoration, thanksgiving, dedicated action and request. It is imperative that we as believers in Jesus Christ pray without ceasing.
